Yaffa oranges pouch - by Ibrahim Muhtadi

Resistance and hope are intertwined—a sentiment Ibrahim Muhtadi captures perfectly in his pouch collection. Through vibrant colours and grounded Palestinian symbols, Ibrahim brings the beauty of a timeless heritage and hope to life.

Ibrahim, an architect and designer from Gaza, relocated to Egypt in 2024 after the loss of his home and practice. There, he reconnected with his craft, collaborating with artist Reem Motasem to create these individually hand-painted pouches.

This piece brings to life a symbol of identity and loss - Palestine, the land of sad oranges, as described by Ghassan Kanafani. Hand-painted with vibrant tones, this pouch honors the iconic Jaffa orange, a powerful symbol of heritage, and deep-rooted connection to the land.

Each pouch is individually hand-painted; please expect slight variations that make your piece truly unique.

Material: Cotton and decorated with high-quality paint fabric.

Care: Gently wipe clean. Do not iron directly always use a piece of cloth for protection.
