This design features the famous Jerusalem bread. When you wander through old city of Jerusalem, you can smell from a distance that there is a bakery. The Jerusalem bread is an oblong ring of bread covered with sesame seeds. It is usually sold with Zaa'tar mix in a little piece of ripped newspaper.

There is a different design on each of the two sides of the bag.

Behind Qastina Designs is the artist Ayed Arafah, who through his food drawings highlights the beauty of the Palestinian culture and heritage. Ayed is a refugee from Qastina village (demolished in 1948 by the Israeli occupation forces). Ayed lives in Dheisheh refugee camp in the region of Bethlehem.
